To ad elegance to your entry, this is a beautiful item. It does remove debris from your shoes, but it’s fairly small and actually more decorative than useful.(The reason for 4 stars versus 5.) The finish is a lovely bronze and it has small, but sturdy, feet with non-skid pads.

I bought two of these for my beach house (thought they had a bit of a nautical flair), and I’m very happy with them. I haven’t actually used them yet, but I’m impressed with the heft and quality … we certainly need something heavy when the winds pick up. They arrived quickly and the shipping was reasonable compared to some other vendors. Also looked at the cape cod rugs, but these were significantly cheaper and more stylish.
